2025 Spring Edition: Celebrating Three Years of Rover Rats!
Three years ago, in March 2022, we took our first steps into the world of small pet accessories. The very first order on Etsy (a medium platform) marked the beginning of an incredible journey. Since then, I've expanded, evolved, and refined the products, always focusing on the needs of pet owners and their little friends!
New Changes for 2025
Spring Edition
We're already well into spring, and I’ll admit, I’m a bit late with this launch. But to make up for it, the Spring Edition will be available from April 27th 2025 all the way through to June 31st 2025!
I’m introducing two special limited-time colors: dark green and beige. These colors bring a natural, soft touch to your cage setups—perfect for those who love a more earthy, forest, and calming aesthetic.
Below, I’ve shared a few different angles of the products in these colors to give you a feel for how they might look in your setup.
Looking Back Into 2022
What started as a single medium platform quickly grew into a full range of platforms in different sizes. Small and large platforms, various ledges were added to the lineup, providing more options for creating enriching cage setups. With every addition, my goal remained the same: to create durable, easy-to-use, and practical products for pet owners. Recognizing the need for other practical solutions, I introduced a bottle holder which provides a simple, durable, and effective way to keep water bottles securely in place and easily swap it. This addition reinforced my commitment to designing cool accessories that make daily pet care easier and more efficient.
Refining the Process
As demand for the products grew, so did my understanding of what it takes to make high-quality 3D-printed accessories. Over time, I refined printing processes, explored better materials, and listened to customer feedback to continuously improve. These years have been a time of learning and perfecting my craft while ensuring I maintain the level of quality that customers expect from Rover Rats.
On Etsy, for example, we've never gotten a bad review, and over 60 reviews have been top 5-star ratings with amazing pictures of rats and pets enjoying my products. Since the very beginning, our Etsy "Star Seller" rating has remained consistently high for over three years, a testament to the quality of both my products and customer service.
A Year of Innovation
The past months has been particularly exciting, with the introduction of new products that push the boundaries of convenience and functionality. One of the biggest launches has been the QuickSwap system, designed to simplify cage cleaning and customization. This system has quickly become a favorite with multiple orders on the same day, and it’s been amazing to see how pet owners are embracing it.
