Happy New Year from Rover Rats: New Product Changes and Rover Rats Roadmap 2025

As we step into a brand-new year, I want to wish all of you a wonderful and healthy 2025! Thank you for being part of the Rover Rats family and for helping grow into the small but passionate business it is today.

Since Rover Rats' launch in 2022, I've been dedicated to provide innovative and practical pet products for rats and other small pets. The platforms, ledges, and bottle holders have become staples in many cages around the world, helping pet owners create safe, fun, and enriching environments.

But two years is a long time, and I'm ready to shake things up with new products and exciting changes to make your experience even better! As we step into 2025, I'm excited to share a 2025 roadmap for the next weeks and months ahead!!

Rover Rats QuickSwap System for Rats, Chinchillas, and more

Cleaning cages can be a time-consuming task, especially for deep cleaning when platforms and ledges need to be unscrewed. What if we could combine a platform and bottle holder in one?

That’s why Rover Rats introduces: QuickSwap, an innovative holder and platform system designed to make cleaning and customizing your cage habitats easier than ever. With this new holder, you can swap platforms and ledges in seconds instead of minutes, simplifying regular and deep cleaning.  

With the launch, we’ll be introducing the holder, along with a new large platform to get started. All existing large platforms will be fully supported. Now you can easily clean those hard to reach platforms and place them in areas that would otherwise be a nightmare to reach during cleaning.

You will be able to purchase the new product as a set, or buy the holder and platform separately. This flexibility allows you to swap even faster if you have a second platform ready or mix and match additional colors for a fresh look. You can expect QuickSwap to launch in the next few days!

A large ledge version will follow soon, and we plan to expand support for other existing platforms and ledges based on customer interest.

Large Foraging Puzzle Toy for Rats, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Birds, and more

Also excited to introduce the new Large Foraging Puzzle Toy, designed specifically for rats, guinea pigs, and other small pets. Inspired by natural foraging behaviors of small animals, this toy provides mental stimulation for your little friends.

The toy features five large removable treat lids, designed to be easily lifted by either the edges or the built-in handles. Each lid has small holes to encourage exploring, sniffing, and problem-solving to uncover tasty treats. With its spacious compartments, this toy is perfect for a variety of treats and is even suitable for guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds!

You will be able choose between a single-color option or a vibrant color mix, combining green, blue, and purple lids for a playful look. The toy also includes anti-slip feet and is made from durable, non-toxic, 3D-printed material.  Also the puzzle toy will release in the next week!

Bottle Holders for Living World Glass Bottles

Three new bottle holders designed for the Living World glass drink bottles will be releasing early this year. These holders will be compatible with the 177ml, 355ml, and 769ml Living World bottles. For US-based customers, this is especially exciting to have the holders available for local-compatible bottles.

The bottles will feature the same stability and easy of use as our existing bottle holders for the Classic Crystal Deluxe bottles.Make sure to be subscribed to our Instagram to be notified when the new holders will be available!  

Follow us

To streamline our branding, all bottle holders, including the above Living World holders, will be rebranded as part of the Quickswap line later in the year. This will unify our products under one easy-to-recognize brand and system.

Limited Seasonal Colors

I've heard your requests for more color variety! This year unfortunately we did not have our yearly winter edition, but starting this spring, we’ll regularly rotate limited-edition seasonal colors every three months.

The first new limited edition will include natural hues like beige, brown, and green to celebrate the spring season. In the past, I've experimented with the winter colors like red and white, and excited to bring even more variety to your pet’s accessories.

Expanding to Amazon and eBay

Rover Rats will soon also be available on Amazon and eBay! These new storefronts will provide additional benefits for our customers, such as faster fulfillment and next-day shipping for select products.

Final Remarks

Running Rover Rats alongside a full-time job has been both challenging and rewarding. Since 2022, I've worked hard to become a trusted name in the small pet community, delivering thoughtful and innovative products to enhance the lives of pets and their owners. While rats are my inspiration, the goal is to help all small animals thrive.
